Hello, brothers and sisters in Christ.

The occupancy permit for our new location has not yet been granted. In light of this development, it has become necessary for the leadership of Westmount to make a difficult decision; we will not be holding our first worship service in Westmount Church until October 22, 2017 at 11:30 am.

In the meantime, our church family at Braeside Presbyterian in St. Albert will continue to welcome us to celebrate Christ with them at 10:00 on Sunday mornings. This Sunday is both Thanksgiving and Communion, and it would be wonderful to see you there.

Bible Study, in which we take a closer look at the Lectionary readings for the upcoming Sunday, will continue to be held at Braeside Presbyterian at 7:00 on Wednesday nights until we are safely and comfortably settled in our new home.

We recognize that delays are both frustrating and can cause some anxiety, and we urge the members of Westmount to remember with gratitude the hard work that’s being done to ensure that we have a beautiful (and functional!) space for worship while we stretch out our time “in the wilderness” by a few more weeks. Please continue to hold all the individuals involved in the construction and preparation of Westmount Presbyterian in your prayers!
