Surprise!

Sunday April 9
10:00 am

Braeside Presbyterian Church

“We are pilgrims on a journey.”

We got a phone call Friday morning telling us that the school gym will not be available beginning this Sunday April 9th until the end of June.

So we will “journey” back to Braeside Church (6 Bernard Drive St. Albert) beginning this Sunday April 9th at 10 am.

The folks at Braeside are looking forward to having us. We hope and pray that you folks will continue to be as faithful and loyal as ever as we once again journey anew in the wilderness on our way to the new home.

Healing and Reconciliation Youth Training

May 5 @ 4:30 pm to May 6 @ 5:00 pm
Camp Kannawin
1367 Township Rd 392 Birchcliff, AB

On May 5-6, 2017, we are inviting Presbyterian and Indigenous youth (ages 15-25) to gather at Camp Kannawin (Sylvan Lake, AB) for a time of fellowship, learning and dialogue about The Presbyterian Church in Canada’s role in healing and reconciliation with Indigenous peoples. The event will begin at 4:30 pm on May 5 and conclude on May 6 at 5:00 pm.

We are thrilled that participants will hear from Shirley Dufour and Grand Chief Wilton Littlechild. Shirley Dufour is a residential school survivor who attended Birtle Indian Residential School (one of the residential schools operated by The Presbyterian Church in Canada). She is a social worker and grief recovery specialist. Wilton Littlechild is a former Commissioner with the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

Throughout the event, we will consider how young people can contribute to our journey towards reconciliation.
